ReSurfacing (section I of the Avatar course) is a new approach to these age-old questions. You will find the answers by exploring the underlying structure of your own consciousness.
It’s easier than you might think.

ReSurfacing refers to the action of disentangling yourself from old creations and rising back into awareness. The ReSurfacing workbook is an Avatar guide for exploring the inner workings of your own consciousness.

Personalise your expedition into consciousness to fit your own needs. How far you go is a matter for you to determine. There is no effort to indoctrinate you with someone else’s belief or truth. What you believe is what you believe, and the truth you discover is your truth. You will discover new insights and realisations about how your life works – or why it doesn’t.

The next scheduled ReSurfacing weekends are:

4-5th May Melbourne, Sydney

The new Green Bin helps you get rid of the rubbish. The only bin which is able to replace your bag for you as you pull out the old one.

Ten years ago two friends looking for an idea to make life easier, came up with an invention. Since that time and after much research, development and testing, the Smart Green Bin was created.

The design achieved approval from the Australian Patients office and was granted a patient. Refil it, the business, was then established to bring the new idea to the marketplace.

The bin is currently produced locally and provides some work to a local disability group. The bin design has many domestic and commercial possibilities.

Refit has chosen to release the bin in cardboard form as a way of providing a low cost alternative and more eco friendly option to plastic. The bin is designed to be used once and recycled or folds away as a flat pack for storage for another day. This automatically reduces landfill by limiting containers being thrown out after being used once.

The bins unique ability to replace its own bags is due to the bag compartment at the bottom of the bin. The bags pull up through the bottom via a slot in the compartment and are positioned in place. The bags are connected so once you pull out a full bag, a new bag connected to the used one rises up from the compartment below to replace it automatically. Tear off the connection between the two and you are done. No more wasting time looking for bags or getting your hands dirty.

Refil it, encourages the use of, and can supply degradable bags for its bins. The combination of using both these products would give the user the ability to do their part for the environment.

Some recent offices and child care centres have used the bin without the bags to collect scrap paper and bottles for recycling.

So when it comes to parties, camping trips, work functions, building sites, baby nursery, messy clean ups. Any where you need a bin, give it a go and help your environment.

So if you would like to try the bin or would like the opportunity to sell a new Australian invention at your store, give us a call on 03 9457 7462.

Power Super Foods is celebrating a dozen years supplying premium functional foods to Australians at a fair price for all.

The Co-Founders are a multi-lingual husband/wife dynamic duo living on their certified organic farmlet in the Northern Rivers of NSW with their hilarious and much-loved pet ducks – “The Brady Bunch”.

Growing and consuming only certified organic produce and using only non-toxic bodycare & cleaning products for both home and business are part of ‘walking the talk’, and both are morally and scientifically opposed to food irradiation and GMOs.

Paul was training as an alternative Kinesiologist and Lisa in Naturopathy while starting the business after returning from a trip to Peru in 2001.

Paul: “Providing healthy Australians with clean, super-nutritious foods that aren’t poisoning the earth anywhere in the world feels fantastic.

I also enjoy meeting and forming long-lasting relationships with our global suppliers — if you’ve ever tried farming you’ll know it is very hard work, and having a guaranteed market at a stable price ensures they too can ‘afford’ to keep their kids in school, and not feel compelled to participate in environmental degradation for a paycheque.”

Lisa: “Travelling around the world reinforces how ridiculously lucky we have been to live here and we wanted to ‘give back’ to honour our good fortune.

Every year, we carbon offset via the world’s largest human-planted forest (Las Gaviotas/Columbia) and all our product lines donate to different rotating organizations of global importance around themes near to our heart eg. rainforest restoration, animal welfare, empowering disadvantaged women, Tibetan causes, and green transport/energy/ education etc.

I used to feel ‘the world runs backwards to how it should’ and it was so frustrating – but as a company we can accomplish much, much more positive change globally – the more we sell, the more we give away, and it feels GREAT. Our dollar has power; we are always careful to use it conscientiously”.

The United Nations created World Environment Day in 1972 to promote and celebrate positive environmental actions.

The theme for this year’s World Environment Day is Think.Eat.Save. Reduce Your Foodprint, which builds on UNEP’s global campaign to reduce food waste launched with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and partners. The campaign seeks to accelerate action to eliminate wasteful practices as roughly one third of the food produced in the world for human consumption every year – approximately 1.3 billion tonnes – gets lost or wasted.

The United Nations Association of Australia (UNAA) World Environment Day Awards will also help bring attention to UNEP’s campaign. The Awards not only pay tribute to the leadership role of local government in fostering a positive community attitude towards environmental sustainability, but also recognise the environmental initiative of business, media, community groups, schools and individuals.

“The World Environment Day Awards are intended to recognize innovative and outstanding environmental initiatives and projects from across Australia,” said Patricia Collett, Executive Director of the UNAA Victoria.

This year, the Association launched three new Awards – Prime Minister’s Environmentalist of the Year Award, Prime Minister’s Young Environmentalist of the Year Award and the Swinburne University of Technology Excellence in Sustainable Product Design Award. Other categories include but are not limited to the NSW office of Environment and Heritage Sustainability Leadership Awards and Virgin Australia Community Award.

Nominations for the 2013 World Environment Day Awards are now open nationally. For closing dates and to enter visit www.unaavictoria.org.au

Almost 1/3 of food we produce is lost or wasted – but that is just the start of the broken food system. The Design for Food Waste Challenge is a combined Oxfam and NSW EPA initiative looking for YOUR IDEAS to reduce food waste and increase awareness. They have figured out that young people aged 18-24 are the biggest food wasters but also simultaneously have the highest potential to solve the problem… Check out this clip for an explanation of the problem and challenge.

Eco Warriors, lets help them reach 10,000 fans strong and they will petition the governing bodies to implement standards that will serve our babies better.

The Clean Bum Crusade campaign is available at www.thecleanbumcrusade.com.au and the dedicated Facebook page at www.facebook.com/TheCleanBumCrusade.

There is strength in numbers as The Clean Bum Crusade campaign has all but reached the 1,400 supporter mark and continues to grow. They are crusading to give the babies of Australia a voice for a change, to raise awareness of the synthetic chemicals found in conventional skin and body care products and the risks they pose to our children.

Utilising Facebook as the communication platform, Wotnot Naturals is asking the community for their support as things need to change now. By liking the campaign Facebook page, Crusaders are asking for:

An immediate ban on those chemicals already banned in other countries until an assessment can be done;

A list of the other synthetic chemicals under review (including synonyms) and that it be easily accessible by all; and,

For legislation to mandate that all information required to be displayed on cosmetic and personal care product packaging be displayed clearly with products sold online.

“Our concern is not simply the rash that develops after using one wipe or skincare product; it is more about the accumulation of these chemicals in little bodies over time. Children are being exposed to these chemicals earlier in life and the harsh reality is that diseases linked to these chemicals are caused by long-term exposure” says Sinead Roberts co-founder of Wotnot Naturals.

“I think if babies were able to answer the question “Do you mind if we use toxic chemicals in your products” they would say “no thank you I’d rather not”. We need to be a voice for babies and ask governing bodies to re-think their policies” says Roberts.

The Clean Bum Crusade campaign is available at www.thecleanbumcrusade.com.au and the dedicated Facebook page at www.facebook.com/TheCleanBumCrusade.

Jeremy Rowsell is an Australian pilot who is planning to fly between Australia and Britain in an airplane that runs solely on plastic waste. This journey is expected to take Mr Rowsell between five to seven days.

Known as the @Altitude project, this experiment could change the aviation industry and how we see plastic waste forever. The average time for a plastic bottle to degrade is at least 450 years. To be able to use this waste as fuel could see many changes ahead.

@Altitude will use the conversion method of commercially viable plastic waste into diesel fuel through distillation. Basically the technology transforms mixed non-recyclable plastic waste into synthetic fuel.

1,000 gallons of aviation grade diesel equals five tons of plastic waste. The great news is that 95 percent of the plastic is converted leaving 5 percent which is char. This char can then be used for new floor covers.

The diesel from the conversion is actually cleaner and low in sulphur and higher in cetane.

“Aviation leads technology in many instances, why not do it once again with this fuel? If this plan works, it would solve some major environmental problems all at once.” Said Mr Rowsell

Jeremy’s scheduled flight is planned for this July.

Shopping for fresh organic produce in your local car park could be the norm for many in 15-20 years time as the population peaks over eight billion.

The Urban Farm Unit was created by Damien Chivialle, a French designer, to be self-regulating and produce organic food in dense populated centres. The old shipping container fits perfectly in a car space and is easy to install.

This cleaver unit can produce food for around 50 people and the open-top container and a hydroponic system creates a self-sufficient industrial greenhouse.

The unit also contains a pool of fresh water fish that sits in the middle with their waste being broken down by bacteria into minerals. This mineral water becomes plant food and the system operates like a mini ecosystem.

Water is heated through methane combustion and generates energy for the water pumps to function. The Unit really does cover all aspects as in order to foster plant growth, CO2 is produced in the combustion and is then released to the plants.

There are three Urban Farm Units currently in operation in Zurich, Berlin and Brussels.
